Card Exchange

Gravity introduced an event in January 4th, 2012 where players can exchange unused cards for a coin which they can be used to gamble for a new card.

This event was a seasonal occurance starting from first maintenance of following months:

January
April
July
October

Event duration is 1 week.

NOTICE: Per January 4th, 2021 patch notes, kRO has stopped the seasonal card exchange event. Future information will be provided by Gravity at a later date.

Overview

When the Card Exchange event activate, you will find 3 NPCs in top left of comodo:

Important Notes:

Mistakes of card exchanging cannot be recovered. Please be careful.
Not all cards cannot be exchanged especially newer cards such as Illusion Dungeons, Episode 17.2 or newer.
Card exchange lists can be updated at anytime so check with the vending machines.
Card Coin can be traded, vended, storaged, and dropped.
Card coins will not be deleted after event ends.
Card Coins can be used at different Card Exchange event.
Gravity does not disclose the possible list of card rewards nor percent chances.

RX1

RX1 is the same system as RX3 except this NPC is stricly for MVP Cards. The exchange rate is 1 MVP Card for 100 Card Coin.

Only MVP cards with the boss logos qualify. Sealed MVP Cards will be confirmed at a later time.

RX3

RX3 allows you to exchange non-MVP cards and gives you the following two options:

Cancellation
Exchange Cards for Coins

When selecting option 2, the NPC will start to cycle through its card list for exchange. You can see the NPC chatting with the % of list of cards it processed.

When it finds a card that is in your inventory, the NPC will link the card it found and ask the following:

Skip this card exchange
Exchange 1 of these cards
Exchange all of these cards

When exchanging, you will get 1 Card Coin per card. However, there is a small chance (approximately 1% ~ 5% chance) of jackpotting during the exchange where you instead get 5 Card Coin.
